Seasonal Eating; Winter

Eating seasonally means to prioritise eating produce that is grown locally, and is in season. Consuming produce closest to when it is naturally harvested has many benefits including food tasting better, produce having higher nutritional value, and is a great way to add variety to our diets throughout the year. It’s also a more budget-friendly way to construct your shopping list, as seasonal produce is generally in peak supply.

Eating seasonally also supports our body’s natural nutritional needs, for example, in winter vitamin C-rich fruits are abundant, and perfect for supporting immune health.
